Here at Mobility Express, we always put the customer and their independence first. We are local to you throughout Northumberland, North Tyneside and surrounding areas. We deliver and demonstrate all our scooters and chairs in person before you pay with no obligation to buy. We accept Credit Card, Debit Card or Amex which all offer you section 75 protection for your purchase, this provides you with an additional level of protection at no extra cost. After buying, If you have any problems with your mobility scooter or power chair, we are mobile in our fully equipped vans. One phone call, email or text and we can come to you, typically we carry out repairs on site at your home, free under your warranty.*
Buying Online comes with some associated risks of fraud and then possibly warranty issues. We get a lot of phone calls where a person has bought a Mobility Scooter or Power Chair online from miles away and has run into problems. Sometimes the scooter/chair never arrives and then the buyer has a fight to get their money back, this is a common scam. Sometimes the scooter/chair arrives packaged and needs assembly, often affixed to a pallet (which you have to dispose of) and then you have to attempt to assemble your scooter/chair yourself, or pay a business to assemble it (at a charge). Also, more often than not, if there is a warranty problem then the seller is often at the other end of the country and unable to fix the scooter/chair. This then means the customer has to pay for the return carriage of the scooter/chair themselves so the seller can attempt a repair, and then the customer has to pay the return carriage again which can easily cost a few hundred pounds or, pay a local business to repair it at a cost to the buyer. It all puts the customer in a difficult position and often this leads to a dispute.
We only sell or repair our Mobility Scooters and Power Chairs to local customers in Northumberland, North Tyneside and the surrounding areas to avoid this situation happening. We deliver the scooter/chair in person before you pay, so you can see what you are buying (with no obligation). If our customers have any problems then its simply one phone call. One of our engineers, in their fully equipped vans, will attend and resolve the issue in person.
Even if you don't buy from Mobility Express, buy locally from a business where you can see, touch and feel the scooter or chair you are buying, before paying. Pay by Credit Card, Debit Card or American Express as this offers an additional level of protection (Section 75). Check the warranty terms and conditions, ensure the seller will come to you to fix any problems you may encounter (without charging you).
